Between April 2017 and Junho 2018, 4924 participants were recruited in 33 hospitals around Portugal.
The migrant partcipants of baMBINO come from 81 different countries.
The majority of participants were recruited in the region of Lisbon and Vale Tejo, followed by the North, the Central, and Algarve regions.
The biggest groups of migrant participants in baMBINO are constituted by women who were born in one of the Portuguese-speaking African countries "PALOP" (50%), followed by women born in Brazil (18%), Eastern Europe & Central Asia (11%), and Western Europe (9%).
Regarding the 3 months-evaluation post delivery, recruited women were contacted by telephone to realize an interview, resulting in 2688 completed questionnaires until the end of Julhy 2018. Phone questionnaires were conducted in 22 different languages.
